Lawsuit, the game, is an easier gift to bring for a horrible boss than lawsuit, the real thing.
If your boss plays too many games with you and your co-workers, then it might be time to bring a lawsuit.
Created by mom, attorney and now entrepreneur Tina Eskreis Nelson, Lawsuit, the board game, was developed around 2003 as a Father's Day gift for her husband, an employment lawyer. The idea: The attorney couple could teach their three kids what they did all day at the office.
Friends loved it, so Nelson started commercial production and a small company called Professional Games Inc., which has sold thousands of copies at $29.99 apiece. Among the cases in the game: A zookeeper leaves the zoo open too late, gets fired - and sues his employer. Creative and more risk-taking employees can customize the game to include lawsuits they would like to bring.
Nelson said she expects to sell thousands of more games as the word gets out. "It's definitely not just for kids and families," she said. "It's for good bosses and bad."
