Aura Green Line: GM's hybrid cost cutter

Saturn's hybrid sedan costs less than other hybrid cars, but it's not worth as much either.

Saturn Aura Green Line
The Saturn Aura Green Line is the least expensive hybrid car you can buy.
Saturn Aura Green Line
The Saturn Aura Green Line offers a compelling proposition. It costs considerably less than the competing Toyota Camry Hybrid so, even though it doesn't have the Camry Hybrid's fuel economy, the lower initial outlay should make up for the extra fuel cost.

On the other hand, it costs $2,000 more than Saturn's base Aura XE, which has a 3.5-liter V6 engine and lower fuel economy.

On whatever other hand you have left, it costs $2,000 less than the very nice Aura XR, which has a 3.6-liter V6 and a manually shiftable six-speed automatic, and which gets even lower, but still not too bad, fuel economy.

Even though the price is good - considering - there are serious trade-offs for fuel savings.
