The redesigned Toyota Matrix was revealed in October at the Specialty Equipment Market Associate trade show in Las Vegas.

The new Matrix is lower and wider than the outgoing version. It's powered by A 16-valve, 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine producing 132 horsepower. It will be available with a five-speed automatic or five-speed manual transmission.

It's an improvement of 8 horsepower over the current version, while fuel economy remains about the same with a reduction of just one mile per gallon in highway driving.
