eJamming
Say you're a guitarist trying to create the next Nirvana. You used to have to load up your gear and, you know, drive somewhere to practice with your buds. Now you can do it in real time over the Net, thanks to eJamming, a subscription service in Valley Village, Calif., and Orlando. eJamming (still in beta) gets rid of the sonic delays that once confounded players jamming together on the web. Now all they have to do is figure out how to stream beer to subscribers. "Then we'll have every musician in the world," jokes co-founder Alan Jay Glueckman. --D.L.
