Bank of America has averaged more than 30% growth for the past three years. Last year, it grew 39.3% thanks to a $35 billion acquisition of MBNA. But that might be its last big retail banking deal for a while. Why? Because it has nearly 9% of total bank deposits, and U.S. law requires that no single bank can hold more than 10% of deposits.
