Impath (Out of business)
No other alumnus of the FSB 100 has fallen quite as hard as Impath. The company provided cancer-related laboratory services when it landed on our 2001 list at No. 26. In 2003, it filed for bankruptcy after several of its executives were investigated for an accounting scandal that led to a $260 million loss for investors. The company's former president and its chairwoman were both sentenced to prison in 2006, and were also forced to pay fines and restitution.
