Frank Davila of Manhattan, left, with family members, was the first shopper to arrive at Toys R Us on Black Friday. He stood in line for seven hours before the doors opened.

Davila said he planned to spend $600 on a wide assortment of toys, including Elmo, action figures and a My Little Pony doll, for his eight kids.
