The former DaimlerChrysler (since split into Germany-based Daimler and U.S.-based Chrysler) joins the top 10 on this year's list for the first time. A new criteria in this year's ranking is whether a company has worked with large stakeholder organizations. DaimlerChrysler can counts membership in dozens of groups, ranging from a U.N. Global Compact on human rights and labor standards to Mothers Against Drunk Driving, to the World Fuel Cell Council.
