Since their junior year in high school in 2001, twin sisters Kathryn and Lizzie Fortunato, 22, have designed and sold more than 700 pieces of handmade jewelry at private trunk shows and stores in Delaware, New York and North Carolina. The sisters' 25-piece spring 2007 collection is inspired by the culture of chic beach towns, such as St. Tropez, and incorporates coral, semi-precious stones, and vintage charms collected during trips to Argentina, Costa Rica and Spain. Fortunato's Red Sail earrings are made from red coral and threads of gold-plated metal.
