Why we chose it: This campus is the birthplace of The Collegiate Entrepreneurs' Organization (CEO), which fosters and supports future business owners worldwide. Started in 1983 by 12 students under the guidance of Gerry Hills, the Executive Director of the Institute for Entrepreneurial Studies at the University of Illinois at Chicago, CEO now has chapters across the country and has received funding from the Coleman and Kauffman Foundations. CEO's annual convention draws 1,200 to 1,400 student entrepreneurs. The Center for Urban Business matches undergraduate entrepreneur and information technology students with local small businesses looking for IT help.
