This southeastern region is a testament to the notion that even if you don't build it, they just might come anyway. Five years ago, when DaimlerChrysler said it was setting up shop in the area, developers scrambled to find places to build. Even after the automaker said it wasn't coming, the developers pushed ahead, and the county has undergone an economic rebirth, complete with a 272-acre industrial park.
