Albanese Confectionery Group's Crunchy Gummies

Albanese Confectionery Group, based in Merrillville, Ind., just launched a new line of candy for Valentine's Day: Crunchy hearts in cherry, vanilla and watermelon. The gummies, coated in hard, flavored candy beads, were nominated for last year's Product of the Year award at the All Candy Expo in Chicago. The company was founded in 1983 by husband-and-wife team Scott (50) and Debbie (47) Albanese. It sells its gummies to Macy's, Dylan's Candy Bar in New York City and Walt Disney Co., which stocks them at all its theme parks.
