Strawberry-flavored Love Buds are Brooks West's newest addition to his company's signature line of hard candies. Butterfield's sugar-dusted sweets - the Buds come in 13 different flavors - have been handmade in Nashville, N.C. for 83 years using real cane sugar, natural fruit flavors and a hint of coconut. The company's first version, peach, was a two-time finalist for the Outstanding Confection Award at the New York Fancy Food Show in 1994 and 2001. West, 50, sells his buds on the company website and at large retailers such as Cracker Barrel.
