$280

Sometimes innovation is all about cost. That's the story with the GO-HD camcorder, a $279 HD unit from Irvine, Calif.-based Aiptek. The GO-HD is no Canon -- you will definitely miss the features and perfect picture quality -- but it is plenty of camera for the dough. It masters to 720p, has a nice 3X zoom, and comes with a serviceable motion control. Plus, it not ugly, and it fits in the palm of your hand. The G0-HD is nice for camera-intolerant parents or rough-and-tumble kids.
