Celica An inexpensive sporty coupe, the Celica was introduced with a 108-horsepower 4-cylinder engine. Later upgraded to a 2.2-liter engine, the Celica became the first car to win Motor Trend's "Import Car of the Year" award in 1976. It took the award again in 1978.
