The world's biggest meat processor blamed outbreaks of Avian flu in Europe and Asia for a steep drop in demand for chicken last year. The Arkansas company also said the cost of feeding pigs and cattle has been rising as commodity prices explode. Tyson is now trying to limit its exposure to fluctuating grain prices by rolling out premium products like antibiotics-free meat.
