Since launching the turnaround of the $4.6 billion Dutch legal and tax publisher in 2003, McKinstry, 48, has restored growth to its five divisions and doubled the stock price. The U.S.-born CEO has been making acquisitions in key markets such as Russia and Germany. This summer she sold the company's $400 million education division to a private equity group for nearly $1 billion.
