Migo Software produces software that uses a patented synchronization method to transport data, files and personalized settings from Windows systems. (A Mac-friendly version of the software will be introduced early in 2008.) The software also can convert email accounts into a format that's compatible with almost all email carriers.
Migo's user-base has grown to 15 million over the past three years, and that number should increase with the acquisition of StompSoft, a software firm that designed programs to improve computer performance. Migo integrated StompSoft's utility software into its product and arranged retail distribution through StompSoft outlets, such as Office Depot and CompUSA, which doubled revenues for Migo in 2006.
In 2008, the company will launch programs under a new mobilization initiative called Media Anywhere, which will enable users to access their data, music, personalized settings, and video files from portable electronic devices, including PDAs, cell phones, and mp3 players.
