Dublin's once-abandoned docks along the River Liffey are now a maze of office towers called the International Financial Services Center, a complex that resembles a Celtic Dubai. At the boom¹s peak, the IFSC employed 35,000 in banking, brokerage, and insurance. Now the figure is 20,000.
