The TT is best known for its spare, clean look. When it was introduced in 1999 it represented a new design direction for Audi with an emphasis on simple, flowing shapes and lines. Never again would anyone mistake an Audi for any other car.

The design philosophy has evolved into something a little more aggressive, including a redesigned TT, due out next year, with more straight edges and a bit of a scowl.
