Toy Fair preview: Eager to recapture kids' attention after the iPod onslaught, toymakers are putting a 'digital' twist on classic toys.
Video Journal for girls
Video Journal for girls
Mattel's Radica division has created an innovative digital diary for girls. The Video Journal includes a digital camera and a camera docking station. Kids can take photos and record videos using the camera. The software enables them to create a customized digital journal. Moreover, all of the pages can be printed out to make a physical dairy.

The system is appropriate for kids ages 6 and up and will be available this July for about $29.99.
