New York - The Jade
Jade Jagger's innovative condo design
When the developers examined the neighborhood (Chelsea) and the market, they identified a need for smaller, lower-priced apartments. They decided that the branding should be hip, young and casual. Jade Jagger was all those things.

The essential feature in the design she came up with was the Pod, a combination bath, kitchen and storage facility, all in one unit. When not in use, the pod doors can be closed to create a cubic, "jewel box" look that's sleek, modern and cool.

The building also offers great amenities such as a fitness center, spa, and rooftop oasis where the building's young clientele can mix.

Prices: Fifty-seven apartments with studios from $550,000; one bedrooms from $945,000; two bedrooms from $1.45 million; penthouse, 3.7 million. The building, which opens this summer is already 70 percent sold.
