NEW YORK (CNNMoney) -- Warren Buffett is buying stocks at near all-time highs and is once again sending a clear message that he's not looking just for undervalued stocks. He's also looking out for great businesses with strong competitive positions in their field and pricing power.
The Oracle of Omaha revealed that he owns $10.7B of IBM (IBM, Fortune 500), which amounts to a stake of more than 5% of the tech juggernaut. Shares of the company are up 27% for the year and more than 1000% (excluding dividends) since its IPO in 1978.
Another Dow Jones component trading higher today is Boeing (BA, Fortune 500). The airplane manufacturer announced an $18 billion deal with Dubai-based Emirates Airline.
Shares of Amazon (AMZN, Fortune 500) are also advancing. The online retailer received flattering reviews for the Kindle Fire, its new tablet with a $199 price tag and deep integration with Amazon's content ecosystem.
