Why we chose it: Students at this artistic enclave can learn about commercial product development through the school's Working Class Studio course. Undergraduate seniors and graduate students conduct market research, study supply and demand, and work with design and product development professionals to develop, and often manufacture, product lines. The students' creations are sold at the college and through SCAD corporate partners, such as Barnes and Noble.
