Why we chose it: UTEP encourages its undergrads, 85% of whom are Latino, to create new ventures and jobs instead of seeking employment with corporations after graduation. To inspire entrepreneurship across the campus, 60 professors hailing from UTEP's six colleges have integrated entrepreneurial thinking into courses taught in departments such as Chicano studies, engineering, health sciences, and liberal arts.
