Why we chose it: UVA's highly ranked medical school is joining forces with the Darden Business School's Batten Entrepreneurship Center to launch a life sciences business class. Law, MBA, medical, and public health graduate students enrolled in this course will learn about the trials and tribulations of commercializing technology from business, ethical, legal, and scientific standpoints. In addition to examining biotech venture case studies, students will have the opportunity to discuss the issues involved in bringing innovation to market with a UVA scientist who is building a medical device company.
