Syracuse, NY
whitman.syr.eduTuition: N.A.
Why we chose it: Syracuse has done a good job of introducing entrepreneurship across campus to art, science, and engineering students, says Robert Chelle, director of the University of Dayton's Crotty Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership. Within the Whitman School of Management, 65% of the students taking entrepreneurship courses are not business majors. To get a taste of global enterprise, upper level undergrads and graduate students from all areas of study can enroll in a summer exchange program in South Africa. Participants study Cape Town's economy and culture. They are trained to serve as consultants to local small business owners in a historically disadvantaged township who are facing operational and financial challenges in industries ranging from catering to newspaper publication.
