Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution Unveiled at the Tokyo Motor Show last month, the Lancer Evolution is Mitsubishi's answer to Subaru's just-released update of the Subaru WRX STi. With a 2.0-liter, 295 horsepower, 4-cylinder engine under the hood and an all-wheel drive, the new Lancer Evolution should be a viable competitor. Two versions will be offered in the American market. The GSR will have a 5-speed manual transmission. The MR will have a twin-clutch, six-speed automatic. The twin-clutch uses two clutches: One closes while the other opens to provide immediate and direct gear shifts.
