And the regular Silverado is no gas guzzler to begin with. A V8 Silverado gets overall fuel economy - 16 miles per gallon, according to new, more realistic, EPA estimates - that's one mile per gallon short of what the V6-powered Honda Ridgeline gets.
So the new version should get about 20 miles per gallon in overall city and highway driving. That's better than other full-sized trucks do in highway cruising alone and it could mean hundreds of dollars in annual fuel savings.
