The movie maker has moved into high gear with three 3D animated features in the works, which have resulted in a hiring surge over the last few years. Now, How to Train your Dragon, Shrek Forever After and Megamind are all slated to hit theaters this year.

But that doesn't mean job growth will slow. After those releases, two more movies are on tap for next year and three more for the following year. In addition, a number of TV specials and new series are in development as well as online games, theater productions, theme parks and so on.

"We're more than just a feature animation company. There are many things we're pushing forward, which is driving all of our job growth," said Meredith Berens, head of human resources. "We're gearing up today for what will happen in 2011 and 2012."
