At Digg.com, everyone gets to be a judge. More than 1 million readers visit the site daily to read some of the 4,000 news stories ranked based on a reader-generating ranking. When a controversy erupted over articles and comments posted by users that contained a 16-digit code for cracking anti-copying technology on HD-DVDs, it was Rose who recognized the wisdom of Digg's crowd and announced that the site would fight for users' right to post the codes.
