Who matters now?

Do bloggers need an etiquette lesson? In a fracas heard around the blogosphere, these two Web writers sparked an ongoing debate about free speech and online manners. It all began after a Locke-run website published threatening comments and images about Sierra, a popular Web developer and author, that prompted her to cancel all speaking engagements out of fear for her safety. After shutting down the offensive site, Locke joined Sierra to release a statement condemning the threats, sparking calls for a "blogger code of conduct."
