A slope in the fairway makes it relatively easy to control your tee shot on this demanding par-4. We did keep the right side of the approach open, which will allow shots to run up to the green. A cluster of bunkers, however, guards the left side.
The tri-level green is one of my favorites on the course. The front level tips slightly towards players, and is more receptive to approach shots. The green then transitions downs to a low center shelf that has a bowl-like feel. These are the easiest pins on the green. The back of the green then rises to the same level as the front. Back pins are difficult, but a low bump and run approach can run through the valley and find its way to the hole. Creative shots that run along the ground are rewarded.
