The second par-3 on the front nine requires a medium to long iron. An irrigation lake guards the left side of the green with a collection area positioned to the right. As an alternative to traditional sand bunkers, the area surrounding the right side of the green is designed to repel or collect errant shots.
Recovery shots from these areas are far more interesting than taking your 60-degree wedge and blasting from the sand. You can hit a lofted wedge, play a bump and run with a mid-iron, or even use your putter. This is another example of how Red Sky lets players use their imagination.
