Since joining Lilly as a sales rep back in 1984, Connelly has risen steadily through the ranks, becoming president in 2005. In 2007 her division's revenues were up 18%, to $10.1 billion, accounting for 54% of the parent company's sales. Her seat on Macy's board is a sign of Connelly's reputation and influence beyond the pharma industry.
