A popular retirement spot, this central Florida county is emerging from Mickey's shadow as a place for young workers to find employment.
Formerly a major citrus producer, the health care industry in Lake County is now ripening. The county's three hospitals are all expanding and hiring. Aside from the school system and government, the Leesburg Regional Medical Center -- named Florida's "Hospital of Choice" -- is the county's largest employer.
